Join the Trail Conference's Invasives Strike Force as we remove invasive plants at High Point State Park, along the Mashipacong Trail. Anyone can participate. No experience is necessary; we provide on-the-job training.
We will be hiking about a mile on a mostly level, shaded woodland trail and removing multiflora rose and barberry.
Volunteers will need to wear a long-sleeved shirt and long pants and bring: work gloves for handling thorns, water, sunscreen, bug spray, and lunch. We provide the tools.
Exact meeting place and more details will be provided upon sign-up.
Please sign-up in advance so that we know how many people are coming and can let you know of any changes of plans.
For volunteers under age 18, please submit a Guardian Consent form to [email protected] prior to the volunteer day or bring the paper form the day of. A parent or guardian must be present for the volunteer day.
