This course is for anyone interested in learning about how the Trail Conference staff and volunteers work with land managers to improve trails.

Senior Trail Builder Ben Sugar will set you up for success with this informative course-- from concept to proposal, review and implementation, this indoor classroom course is designed to help participants learn what’s required to work with land managers in carrying out projects to improve their trails. Volunteers working on NYS Park Land in the Taconic or Palisades Regions of the Lower Hudson Valley would greatly benefit from this course however much of what will be taught will be applicable across boundaries.

Required Forms

  • For volunteers under age 18, please submit a Guardian Consent form to [email protected] prior to the volunteer day or bring the paper form the day of. A parent or guardian must be present for the duration of the course day.
