Introduction to Trail Maintenance Fall ClipnHike

Join us in the crisp Autumn air for a Clip-n-Hike on the southern Shawangunk Ridge, and see the new trails and access points that have been created. While enjoying the new views, participants will learn assessment of trail conditions, clearing, blazing, proper use of tools and how to report any trail problems they may come across on their segment of trail.  We will clear any overgrown vegetation in our way, to prepare the trail for winter hiking, so please wear your hiking boots and work gloves - bring plenty of water and a bag lunch to enjoy at a viewpoint. If you have garden clippers, loppers or pruning saws, feel free to bring them along.
