Sustainable Trail Design for All

Come learn about new Federal ABA (Architectural Barriers Act) regulations for trails, how they promote sustainable trail design, and how they affect the work of the Trail Conference.  In the classroom session, we will cover when and how trail technical requirements apply as well as how these can be applied in unregulated circumstances to promote sustainable trails that can be enjoyed by a larger range of ability levels.  In the outdoor session, we will put these regulations in to use and practice designing trails that meet these regulations. Find out how the new federal trail accessibility guidlines will affect your trail, and specifically in which cases the regulations apply and do not apply.   Meet at 9am at Sterling Forest State Park. Location to be given upon registration.   Please register below or call Sona at (201) 512-9348 x15 or [email protected]
