Advanced Trail Maintenance

This one-day crew work and training session provides the skills necessary to carry out intermediate maintenance with a crew on  a hiking trail so it is easily passable and harmonious with its surroundings.  Participants will learn and carry out a variety of tasks as the trails demands including assessment of trail conditions, clearing, blazing, water and erosion control and proper use of tools. Be prepared to spend the day on the trail.  Wear your hiking boots pack plenty of water bring work gloves and normal maintenance tools and bring a bag lunch.  Other tools and supplies will be provided. Participants should be familiar with maintenance 101 concepts. Please register to attend.
