This is a two-day USFS course. Participants will gain a greater understanding of safe chainsaw practices and obtain practical experience using chainsaws on trails. Emphasis is on safe chainsaw use, identification and mitigation of hazards, proper bucking technique and chainsaw maintenance. Students do not need to own a chainsaw to attend, but if you have one please feel free to bring it.
