Westchester Trail Building Work Trip

Join the Friends of FDR State Park as they build trails to connect to Baldwin Road in Yorktown Heights. Our first project is to improve a trail which connects the park to Viewland Drive by building a bike bypass, then build steps. Beginners are welcome but must be over 12 years old.  Bring workgloves, water and snack. The park charges an entrance fee on weekends. People working on this project will need a entrance pass to get in free and a parking pass to park outside of a parking lot.  Contact Jane Daniels for the entrance and parking passes, which you will need to print out and separate.  - FDR State Park - Orange Trail - From the Taconic State Parkway, take the exit to FDR State Park.  Give the entrance pass to the person in the booth and keep the parking pass.  Once inside the park, head towards the swimming pool parking lot (not the drop off area) There will be a the grassy area on the left just before you turn into the swimming pool parking lot. You can drive on the gravel road which says do not enter towards a kiosk where you can park. Put the parking pass on your dashboard.  41.283301N, -73.805631W
