Lean-to Crew: Mink Hollow Lean-to

Support for this project is provided by the Christopher Nowak Memorial Fund The Lean-to Crew will begin work on the rehabilitation of the Mink Hollow Lean-to. We will transport building materails to the site, replace the roof, put in a new floor, stain the entire lean-to and carry out the materials that were replaced.  This work will take place over a number of work trips.  New Volunteers are welcome and no prior experience is necessary.   You do not need to be a member of the Trail Conference to take part in the crew work. Bring work gloves, water, lunch, and friends; we will provide the rest of the tools and training. Beginners are welcome. Heavy rain or winter weather cancels this work trip. - Mink Hollow Lean-to - We will be meeting at the end of Mink Hollow Road, at the parking lot for the former Mink Hollow Trail. Traveling west on Route 23a in the Village of Tannersville, turn left onto Railroad Avenue.  Railroad Avenue becomes Spruce Street, which becomes County Route 16/Platte Clove Road.  Turn right onto Elka Park Road and then turn right onto Mink Hollow Road.  Follow Mink Hollow Road to its end and we will meet at that parking lot. If you need more detailed directions, please contact the trip leader. If you have a GPS, the parking lot is located at 42.143185,-74.157895.
