Trail Builder for a Day Workshop

Ever wonder who the people are who build the trails? Want to join them and see if trail building is for you? Take this workshop to find out!

Two trail building volunteers at work.

Be a trail builder for a day and see what it takes to construct a new trail or do heavy maintenance on an existing trail.

This course helps you gain or brush up on the skills necessary to a Trail Conference Trail Crew Volunteer.  Feel the wonder of being outdoors, appreciate the achievement of tangible successes, make new friends, combine your brain and brawn, and eat lunch on a rock with a beautiful view.

During the course we'll cover erosion mitigation, water management/drainage, tread hardening, and more. All you need to bring are sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and enough water/snacks/lunch to comfortably make it through the day.

The Lake Hopatcong Foundation is helping to organize this event - to register, please contact them directly via their website. Space is limited, so sign up now!
