Registration is closed for this event
Want to join our invasive plant scavenger hunt? Take this workshop to learn how to identify and survey for these "problem plants!"

class of students learning about blockbuster survey training

The BlockBuster Survey program detects and records emerging invasive species and fills data gaps in the Lower Hudson region. The Lower Hudson Valley counties have been divided into 5 x 5 km (about 3 x 3 mile) blocks, which volunteers will be assigned to survey.

This course will help you gain or brush up on the skills necessary to become a Lower Hudson PRISM volunteer who conducts BlockBuster Survey monitoring.  Skills include field identification of 27 targeted species, GPS data collection and other skills necessary to surveying and mapping the current distribution and abundance/absence of targeted invasive species.

This program is part of the Lower Hudson Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management's (Lower Hudson PRISM) efforts to stop the spread of invasive species in the Lower Hudson Valley.
