Force of Nature: Women’s Introduction to Trail Building

Registration is closed for this event
In celebration of REI’s Force of Nature campaign, the Trail Conference invites women to join us for a female-focused introduction to trail building on the original section of the Appalachian Trail at Bear Mountain State Park.

The Trail Conference’s female trail builders will be leading a trail-building workshop on the reroute of the original section of the Appalachian Trail in Bear Mountain State Park. We welcome all women to get outside and give back to one of our most cherished connections to nature: trails.

During this workshop, we’ll be teaching participants how we set stone steps. Spend a few hands-on hours with us learning what it takes to build sustainable trails for future generations to enjoy and explore the outdoors.

No experienced required! Meet us on the trail, and we’ll teach you everything you need to know to have a fun, safe, and empowering day building trails.

Men are welcome to join us too, but will be working separately with the rest of the Megalithic Trail Crew. Sign up here.
