Tread & Drainage Workshop

Registration is closed for this event
Ever wonder why some trails are more eroded than others? Ever felt like the trail you were following was a stream bed? Take this Workshop to find out!

Tread and drainage creates a pathway surface that keeps water off the trail, and people on it, resulting in sustainability.

This workshop will focus on why and how drainage problems can develop on sections of trail, and how to mitigate and repair them. Skills taught will include assessing trail problems, waterbar maintenance, and installation of earthen drains.  A great workshop for maintainers and others interested in helping trails in need of some basic TLC!

We will be meeting at the Manaticut Point Trailhead in Norvin Green State Forest on Saturday, October 27th - at 10:00am.
