Wildflowers Art Exhibit: Call for Entries Mar. 3 - Apr. 17, 2017

The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference will accept submissions of artwork, starting March 1st, for a group exhibition depicting wildflowers. Works done in all two dimensional media will be considered, including photography. The exhibition is scheduled to run from June 2nd to September 29, 2017 at the NY-NJ Headquarters, 600 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, NJ.

Each artist may submit digital images of up to three artworks for an entry fee of $15. The works should depict or be inspired by wildflowers. Species that grow in this general area are preferred, but not required. Work must be framed and ready for hanging.

Submission Deadline: Monday, April 17

After you submit payment, you will receive a confirmation email with details for submitting your images. Notification of results will be emailed after April 28, 2017. Accepted artwork must be delivered to the Trail Conference during business hours May 30, 31, and June 1. We are sorry, but we do not have the capability to handle shipped artwork.

Accepted works may be offered for sale. The NY-NJ Trail Conference Art Gallery, while new, has a respectable record of sales that has been increasing with each show. 20% of any sale, along with the show entry fee, will benefit the excellent work and programs of the Trail Conference. The show will be juried and awards will be announced and presented at the June 15 opening reception. Prizes are courtesy of a generous donation by Dick Blick Art Materials of Paramus. Unsold artwork must be picked up between September 29 and October 3.

Our previous juried group show - a photo show - was a lot of fun. It featured an exciting mix of works by seasoned professionals as well as photo enthusiasts who had never exhibited before. The shows and receptions bring new visitors to the historical headquarters building and help increase awareness of the Trail Conference organization and all that it does. We are pleased to invite you to be a part of it!
