Blaze Changes
This is a wonderful hike - beautiful views. However, the blue blaze Hewitt-Butler trail no longer exists. You can easily follow this hike by following the teal blazed Highlands Trail to the green blazed Burnt Meadow loop. Since the Burnt Meadow Loop is in fact a loop, you can pick either direction. A portion of the green blazed burnt meadow loop follows the power line clearing and markers can be tricky to find in that section. Otherwise, this was a very enjoyable afternoon hike!
