Body

The latest issue of Trail Walker is here

In the Spring 2021 edition, we celebrate the outstanding volunteers who were recognized during our Volunteer Appreciation event on March 28. Without their incredible commitment to protecting trails and natural areas, issues such as blowdowns, untended erosion, and the encroachment of invasive species would cut off the public’s ability to safely and enjoyably experience all the outdoors has to offer. We can play outside because they work so hard to provide that access for everyone.

Inside this issue, you'll find articles on:

  • The Highlands West Trail Connectivity Plan, a long-term initiative to conserve open space and support accessible recreation in Orange County's Hudson Highlands
  • Another conservation win for the Long Path, and one for Bergen County as well
  • A look at how the growing trail running community is giving back
  • Ways to expand your knowledge of the natural world while hiking
  • And more!

Trail Conference members and volunteers receive Trail Walker delivered to their door. To receive your complimentary copy of our quarterly newsletter, sign up to become a member or volunteer today!
