HIKER PARKING ALLOWED AGAIN
rdgee65
The no parking signs have been removed and hiker parking is apparently permitted on the right side of the driveway BEFORE the bridge to the equestrian center ONLY. Do not park anywhere past the bridge. As for todays hike, it was brutal. 90 degrees F and the S/BM trail with it's multiple, steep ups and downs took alot out of me, especially since I did this hike in reverse. The swim at Lake Wanoksink was awesome.

Re: Can we still park here during COVID?

We are doing our best to report closures on our Trail Alerts page (https://www.nynjtc.org/news-center/trail-alerts). The Trail Conference works with nearly 200 different individual park units, and every day with this crisis is a unique kaleidoscope of rules, policies, and public access options. If you choose to head out, check with the park beforehand to confirm access.

~Jeremy, Trail Conference Cartographer

Jova42R
Hi! I was going to take this hike, but I was wondering - can we still park here? Any insight would be much appreciated.

The Shortline bus that goes from Port Authority to Bear Mountain travels along 202 , and will drop you off at the Equestrian Center if you let the driver know.

However. i cannot guarantee that the bus will stop for you on the return trip, so it might be a safer option to go to Sloatsburg after visiting Pine Meadow Lake, and catch the bus or train at Sloatsburg.
