Old Business:

 

  1. Subteam status reports
    1. Content (Georgette)

i. Phil reports that he still needs 2 new parks/view database fields with RTF formatting (from last meeting); Walt's workaround does not work; Phil is continuing to write in Word but can't post info online until new fields are ready; he sent an email about this shortly after the Sept 22 meeting (GW will resend it)

ii. Initial Drafts (Phil):

a. I have written initial drafts for all the regions in NJ, except The Jersey Shore and The Pinelands

b. As promised, I have also completed the Harriman-Bear Mt. region

c. All of the parks in the completed NJ regions are posted on-line [initial draft] except for about half of Central Jersey.

iii. Revisions (Phil):

a. I have revised four regions and the drafts are out for review and comment: The Palisades, The Ramapo Mountains, The Wyanokies, and Bearfort Ridge and Wawayanda

b. The names of the reviewers and status is on the top right-hand of the attached spread sheet - they are primarily Trail Chairs and Trail Supervisors

c. When I get the comments back I will send a revised copy for you and Ed to look over.

d. The Ramapo Mountains is now complete and ready for the next step - whatever that is.

iv. GW has edited/updated approximately 50 Hike descriptions and continues as time permits

i. Ed made contact with someone willing to consult with us on Google ad words (see discussion under New Business)

ii. We still do not have a Trellon contract with the language we agreed upon. Ed will follow up on how much of current Trellon invoice we should pay (approx. half of what we were billed).

i. Doug has produced and group reviewed designs for:

a. Start Shopping page (OK to release to Trellon); change ‘Guidebooks' to Books

b. Book Inventory page (OK to release to Trellon)

c. Maps page (Same as Books design and OK to release to Trellon)-TC needs to maintain design of square cropped blocks of map images

d. Brand Merchandise (Same as Books and OK to release to Trellon) -change title to Trail Conference Hats, Shirts, & Other Stuffx

e. Hot Off the Press -Doug to change to Product template, add buttons for Add to Cart and Continue Shopping; then OK to Release to Trellon

ii. Discussion re display of List, Member, and Registered Web user discounts:

a. Display List and Member prices only;

b. Registered User discounts (of perhaps 10%) might be applied as promotions, or later in the process as standard offer. Final decision on registered user discount pending.

iii. Review of Purchase process

a. Design should follow Drupal Ubercart process

b. In right hand column on Checkout page (3), add "Order Offline" option with a link to a PDF order form

c. Change "Delivery Information (in Drupal) to "Shipping Information"

d. Ask Trellon to see about labeling icon next to Saved Addresses: edit/add address

    1. What else we need to give Trellon and when

i. PDFs for store pages (five pages ready, Uberkart purchase sequence to be done)

    1. What we need to decide

  1. Google ad words: Discussion.
    1. Ed reported on opportunity to get a Google grant for ad word program ($300/month)
    2. Doug volunteered to help identify TC Google ad words and to subsequently monitor TC program
