Dressed in snow pants and parkas to ward off the winter cold, a collection of environmental activists, concerned residents, local politicians and others turned out for a rally Saturday morning to protest against the $400 million expansion of the Tennessee Gas Pipeline. Called the Northeast Upgrade, the pipeline would run natural gas from Pennsylvania through Ringwood State Park, Long Pond Ironworks State Park in West Milford and the Ramapo Mountain Reservation before ending at a metering station in Mahwah.
