Camp Smith Trail Parking Area Temporarily Closed

A member and volunteer reports that the U-bend parking area for the Camp Smith Trail in Hudson Highland State Park is closed temporarily. The area is temporarily a construction site while a road crew relocates a culvert. The lot is expected to reopen for parking July 12.

July 6: Added Alert re Closure of Bear Mountain Road: NYS DOT is working on Bear Mountain Road and on weekdays it will be closed to traffic between Route 9 at the Annsville Circle and Route 9D at the bridge until Aug. 1. The road is to be re-opened on weekends. The recommended detour is Route 9 to Route 403 to Route 9D.
