New York Releases Draft Statewide Trails Plan

The New York State Draft Statewide Trails Plan/DGEIS has been released for public review. The draft Plan is available on the State Parks website at http://nysparks.state.ny.us/recreation/trails/statewide-plans.aspx. The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 19th, 2010, at 7:00 pm in the Gideon Putnam Room, Administration Building, Saratoga Spa State Park.

Two pre-hearing webinars will be offered on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at 7:00 - 8:00 pm and Thursday, October 14, 2010, at 1:00 - 2:00 pm. People wishing to participate will need to email notification of interest to: [email protected] or call 518-474-5578. Instructions for access to the webinar will be emailed to those interested a couple of days prior to the webinar dates. Participation requires access to the Internet and a telephone.

Written comments on the Draft Statewide Trails Plan will be accepted until November 1, 2010 and can be mailed to [email protected].
