New York state park attendance rose despite budget cuts

In the Hudson Valley, state parks reported a 9 percent increase overall in attendance even though budget cuts delayed some openings. The Bear Mountain State Park in Harriman posted a 43.6 percent increase in attendance while FDR Park in Yorktown reported a 7 percent increase.
