National Park Service OKs Power Line through Delaware Water Gap, Appalachian Trail

Body

The expanded and upgraded Susquehanna-Roseland Transmission Line should follow the route of its existing line — right through three national parks, the National Park Service announced Wednesday.

The decision is not final.

The park service is expected to release a final environmental impact statement on the Susquehanna-Roseland project in August, followed by another public comment period. The final “decision of record” is to be released on Oct. 1.
