Van Cortlandt Park Friends to Get $180,000 for Hiking Trails Project

Friends of Van Cortlandt Park will receive $180,000 to repair hiking trails as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on Dec. 10.

This funding will allow the Friends to hire a trail manager and four-person crew to begin work, said Christina Taylor, executive director of the Friends.

The Trail Conference assessed and advised the Friends of Van Cortlandt Park on the project.
