Finding hikes, their descriptions, directions to trailheads, etc. is now extremely difficult, convoluted and time consuming. No more "at a glance" information for all hikes listed on one scrolled page followed by a single click. Now one has to either know in advance the name of a park/forest, etc. to enter a search and THEN (if successful in finding something) click on a map in areas you may not be familiar with; THEN click on hikes within each designated area; THEN have to possibly click through several pages to locate a prospective hike; THEN click on further descriptions of each hike; THEN click on directions to trailhead; THEN click on Google Map directions. Whew! That's a hike right there. I think you've sacrificed basic simplicity for a glossy new look w/too many unnecessary bells, whistles & hurdles. IOW: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." It wasn't broke. I'll keep trying to navigate my way through the new site because The Trail Conference is worth the effort. The information (once found) is ultimately rewarding. You all do a great job out there on the trails for all of us in need of some quality trail time. And I'm sure compiling the trail data for the site (new or old) is a time-consuming and painstaking job. One which is deeply appreciated I can assure you, and I sincerely thank you all for that.
