Park Description
Flat Rock Brook Nature Center
Flat Rock Brook Nature Center was established in 1973 to preserve one of the last remnants of the Palisades forest as a natural sanctuary for plant and animal life. It is available to the public for trail walks, nature study and other passive recreation.
In 2013, a new educational dock overlooking Quarry Pond was completed. Its hexagonal shape provides a better viewing platform for school groups that visit the Nature Center. The Nature Center building (restrooms included) has been renovated and the pond dredged to provide an improved water habitat for wildlife. Visit the Association website for additional infomration.
