Storm Damage: Some New York State Park Closures

From New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation:

UPDATE AUG. 24: Palisades Region Parks: High Tor State Park is closed until further notice. Lake Tiorati in Harriman State Park is closed Monday - Friday.

UPDATE AUG. 6: Palisades Region Parks: Bear Mountain State Park, Franny Reese State Park, High Tor State Park, Nyack Beach State Park, Rockland Lake State Park and Tiorati State Park are closed until further notice. Lake Welch Beach is open for swimming - please use exit 16 off of the Palisades Parkway. 
Taconic Region Parks: Taconic Rudd Pond, FDR State Park swimming pool, and Fahnestock campgrounds are closed until further notice due to recent storm damage.
Minnewaska State Park Preserve parking is full as of 12:30.

UPDATE AUG. 5: Palisades Region Parks: Bear Mountain State Park, High Tor State Park, Rockland Lake State Park, and Tiorati State Park are closed until further notice. Lake Welch Beach is open for swimming - please use exit 16 off of the Palisades Parkway. 

Taconic Region Parks: Taconic Rudd Pond, FDR State Park swimming pool, and Fahnestock campgrounds are closed until further notice due to recent storm damage.

AUG. 4: All Palisades Region State Parks and Historic Sites are closed today due to adverse weather. For a list of affected properties visit: Palisades Region
