Palisades Conservation Corps Trail Crew

About the Palisades Crew
The Palisades Trail Crew is continuing to implement trail improvements in Sterling Forest State Park this season, including constructing several reroutes on the McKeags Meadow Loop and building the new Augusta Mine Trail this season. If you enjoy working outdoors and have a thirst for knowledge, the Palisades Crew wants to meet you. There are plenty of opportunities for you to get out there and have some fun on the trail with us!
Work trips are led by Trail Conference's on-staff field manager and Conservation Corps members.
The project involves a variety of tasks, such as:
- Opening trail corridors
- Trail tread construction focused on sidehilling and some rock work
- Erosion mitigation and drainage
- Finishing work
