Directions
From New York Route 17 use exit 113 to take New York Route 209 south toward Port Jervis. When you see the Moose Lodge on your left, make a left turn onto Haven Road, where there are some parking spots. Other parking areas are marked on the above map.

Park Overview

Trail Overview
The Shawungunk Ridge Trail (Aqua) and co-aligned Long Path (Teal) hug the eastern shore of the lake and the red-blazed former D&H Canal tow path can be followed on the western boundary of the wildlife area. Park Description
A thriving wetland in the summer and fall and a six mile shallow lake in the springtime, the Basha Kill is home to 200 species of birds. Thirty varieties of fish include the prehistoric Bowfin. This area a nature lover's paradise. The Wildlife Management Area is invitingly described by the Basha Kill Area Association on its website.
