Auction Ends August 17, 2014

As a member of EarthShare New Jersey (ESNJ), the Trail Conference will be featured in the 2014 Rain Barrel Art Auction and fundraiser.

ESNJ is an association of environmental nonprofits whose mission is to mobilize the people of New Jersey to protect our land, water, air and wildlife, making the state a healthier place to live, work and play.

Rain barrels serve as an important, environmentally-friendly tool that we can all use to collect and store rain water for use around the home and in our gardens.  Using rain water for these purposes helps to reduce our need for fresh water, thereby extending our water reserves.

The Trail Conference's rain barrel has been painted by artists and Trail Conference members, Madeline Giotta and James Martocci.

The design celebrates the beauty of our region and pays homage to the Trail Conference's legacy.  Giotta's true-to-life map traces portions of the trail system in Storm King State Park, and Martocci draws inspiration from the mountain views of Liberty Township in Central New Jersey and Hemlock Pond in the Delaware Water Gap for his display of seasons in the woods.

Our auction opens August 8, 2014 and ends August 17, 2014.  Visit earthsharenj.org to learn more about the auction and how it works. Place your bid on Ebay.

Proceeds from this auction benefit the Trail Conference and ESNJ.
