Working with staff ... roles and responsibilities
- Need list of people who want eWalker
- Managing memberships: Back office processing of members once we get Trellon to set the member role when a user claims to be a member. Block users from updating member # and member expiration date fields.

3. Review launch status and set goals for next week.

* Join/Renew/Donate flow and other store issues
* Google Analytics
* Migrating content from the old site
* Trellon issues

* Images on the site: what is there; how to get them there.

5. Phase 2 planning

* Process: gather requirements, prioritize requirements, size implementation, build work plan, implement per plan.
* Gather requirements -- Steo 1: Build tentative starter list of requirements (in random order for now); Step 2: take to committees, staff, board for additional input.

-- Give Viewpoint forum less generic name "Trail conference viewpoint forum"
-- Advocacy issues ... what to move over and to where? Move over current issues; 301 the old ones. Move them over to the new site if they become hot again or as we get to it.
-- Get content for all links on old home page moved to new site so can establish direct links instead of 301s.

-- Keep front page looking fresh. Twice a week updates.
-- Trail Walker ... update links to point to new site. Move science stories to new site.
-- Catherine continues to make progress.
-- Work with staff to focus on using site as a tool.

* Technology (Walt)

Getting titles that have meaning for Google search.
-- Figured out how to get H1 to show and not be duplicated. Walt to fix pages.
-- Walt demoed how to upload .swf files : attach file (into /files) then go to view map, content, click on * button; change file in swg file='xxx.swf"
-- PageTitle module allows title for particular page. Walt to try for Why Join? and if it works, for other panel pages as well.
-- Working thru store code to make changes..
-- Georgette to update Checkout instructions with disclaimer re existing messages. Admin-Store admin-Config-Checkout msgs.
-- Can staff get view of all who checked member=yes so they can verify membership?
-- Expiration date -- ebase uses end of month; Ubercart uses date purchase is made.
-- Can we streamline path for staff until members issue is fixed?
-- cannot unsubscribe on site .. from e-Walker or other lists. No guidance on how to do it. (See what happened on old site. Need hack until ebase migrated. work with staff to establish procedure.)

Staff needs expectation of how to work with Web team to get stuff working.
Short on tech skills to do stuff. Walt consumed by maintenance.
Staff wants training -- hand holding

Re groups and forums -- how to set up for particular working units. Christie to set up group for East Hudson trails.

Re Forums -- how to set up. Viewpoint is general public forum. Restructure so public forums are separate from invite-only forums.
-- Install "AdvancedForum" to allow to see extract of post instead of whole thing.
-- Shorten teaser for each post so don't see the whole thing.
-- Staff to define topic hierarchy.
-- Comments on Parks page ... is there a way to submit comment to appropriate forum or link the parks comment to a particular forum?
-- Park alert field ... use to post alerts -- not fully implemented yet -- need to create alert database and figure out how to display.

Where to capture and track real alerts? ... concept is forums are unmoderated; use content to add valid alerts to parks, hikes db.

Container contains forums. Forums contain topics.

Doug: uploaded a lot of images; Walt needs to set up page style and Doug can then replace the photos. Text in left side will be text field and not part of swf or photo so it can be modified.
