Old Business

1. Agenda modifications

2. Subteam status reports

* Technology (Walt)

We were hit by gumblar malware last week. Modified html & php files. Anybody with a copy of Contribute (e.g. staff) had pw and was therefore exposed. Possibility that someone on staff has infected machine. New procedure: to use Contribute, use Terminal Services (inside our firewall). Shouldn't be changing old site anyway (except to point to new site).

Ed to advise staff re using Contribute.

Firefox still giving warning screens to users who land on suspicious pages.

-- Backup plan - see Technical Plan
Old site stuff is backed up to Walt's home machine. If don't tell him you've updated something, he won't have it.
Walt will institute daily backup on Raid 1.
Third level backup - either to our office server or to Dreamhost server. (Benefit of Dreamhost - it's Linux) or by A2Hosting (approx $100/month and restores would be quicker). Walt to explore Dreamhost alternative.
-- Security issues - see Technical Plan
Passwords -- Ed and Josh should have access to current list of passwords

We need a backup for Walt. Write a job description (Ann/Walt)

Photo gallery on old site is not working right now. (Uses Coppermine) Need to reinstall to get at old pictures.

Find volunteer to pick photo package to implement on site.

-- Trellon status -- Ann to send Alonza a follow-up email. (Done)

Members should not be able to change member role and expiration date.
But need to have them state they are a member after they have registered -- thus add block in shopping cart. (Walt needs to figure out how to create a form in a block.)

-- Ann to send Josh info re sponsor-me tools. e.g. FIRSTGIVING.COM

* Content (Georgette)

* Business model (Ann/Ed)

-- discuss ownership of e-commerce function

Available staff cannot keep up with administrative load of Web site.
Complaints, clunky admin of Ubercart store, staff unavailability, site outages.

Meet with Josh:
How to make fastest progress to get stuff fixed.
1- end user calls frustrated. Please take info over the phone. 8-9 a day. Mostly membership flow.
2- on back end -- cannot keep up. Process takes longer now. Batch printing failing recently.
Old system -- printed invoice & done.
Now go back and mark as members, completed.
Can't separate memberships from orders. (Is there anything we can do?)
Headache for fulfillment -- are backlogged and haven't processed updates to give members their discounts.
Processing, Received, Completed, Finished ... must go thru steps in order.

Customer experience - takes priority
Trellon - quick nuggets then find replacement provider
Fulfillment & Web committee -- Josh to attend at 1:30 each week.

Josh looking at QuickBooks interfacing with Ubercart.
Web -> QuickBooks; Batch then move to main QuickBooks for inventory. Walt to add module in so we can see if it helps us.
QB also does credit card processing. (Replace for VeriSign -- may not interface with Ubercart).

New database. One contender is CVCRM (modeled after eBase).
