Senior Trail Builder
Ben Sugar joined the Trail Conference in February 2018 as a Field Manager, bringing with him over a decade and a half of experience building, designing, and managing trails. A Virginia native, Ben discovered a love of the outdoors while building trail with AmeriCorps in New Hampshire in 2003. Since then, he has led crews and executed projects for Vermont’s Green Mountain Club, Montgomery County, MD’s Parks Department, and the U.S. Forest Service in Utah. Ben holds a B.A. in history from James Madison University, along with graduate studies Recreation Resource Management at Utah State University.
