Title

Blowdowns Continue to Block Some West of Hudson Trails

Body

Despite the best efforts of park and volunteer Trail Conference crews, many trails above 700-feet elevation west of the Hudson River continue to be littered by blow-downs caused by winter ice storms. Affected parks include Minnewaska, Storm King, Schunemunk, and Black Rock Forest. Trail maintainers are urged to visit their trails as early as possible. Where chainsaw crews have worked, additional clearing may be needed. If you need assistance in removing fallen limbs or trees, contact your trail supervisor or regional representative.
