Represent Trail Conference at outreach events, by answering questions, distributing brochures and encouraging sign-ups from the public at an event's informational table.
NECESSARY SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:Willingness to talk to people about the Trail Conference, set up and monitor a table of information about the Trail Conference and assist people interested in volunteering with a sign-up sheet. Knowledge of the Trail Conference, good people skills, willing to travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:
- Set up outreach materials, including membership information, Trail Walkers and other publications, volunteer opportunities, forms, and a 4-panel table-top display;
- Represent the Trail Conference by informing the public about the Trail Conference work and how to get involved;
- Pack up and return outreach materials in a timely manner.
Training:The Regional Representative will assist the volunteer in getting materials together.
TIME COMMITMENT:2 months or longer. Representatives are needed year-round for episodic (usually weekend) events.
