Conversion plan, who does what. Review project plan (http://www.nynjtc.org/book/d5d6-project-plan )
Status of test systems
Issues:
• Discuss how to prioritize adding SOLR search. Walt thinks high after D6 comes up.
As best I can determine, neither the words in blocks or the words in views are indexed and found by search. See for example http://drupal.org/node/281056. I had tried putting free trail brochure in the view header and it didn't help. The answer appears to be to replace the current built-in search with SOLR search (which also solves the indexing of pdf files). So the real question is to prioritize adding SOLR search. I think high after D6 comes up.

The search still doesn't work but I think it is just that the index hasn't been rebuilt yet. Running cron should fix the index, but cron is getting warning messages. Investigating further.@gmail.com>

• Discuss populating test sytems with real content. Bill notes:
There is a need for testing with real content on the theme site. The ideal way to get real content on the site is to export a content type definition from the live site and import to the theme site and then do that for actual content. Otherwise, one has to re-create all of the fields for a particular content type and manually create some content.
However, the export/import capability does not appear to work as advertised, at least for the hike content type that I attempted. We need to come up with a way to do this.

• Feedback on usability of D5-D6 Migration Project book for keeping track of what we are doing (rather than emails flying around)

-- Store issues: Ubercart membership process - expiration date processing (Walt)

Should be able to use rsynch to copy files directory across. Then copy database over too. Think can use symbolic link to one copy of files directory. VERY HIGH PRIORITY.

  • Walt hasn't done anything with alpha test system yet. ...
  • Bill - has theme that looks reasonable. Needs real data now to see what breaks. (Hikes and Parks, membership form, etc. may look strange.)
  • Showstoppers and need for external assistance ... nothing yet.
  • Change control: remarks in php; Add page to book with log file of activity. Add change log content type to main site - when copy to test site and change it - won't get copied back to main site, so have to do change logging on main site. Ann to mock up change log.
  • • Feedback on usability of D5-D6 Migration Project book for keeping track of what we are doing (rather than emails flying around) --- will all try using it.
  • • Bill gone in March - (5-21 or a little later).

-- Manually creating fields to test theming ... need to exclude from view/*, hike/*, admin/*, user/*, park/* ... Ann to send Georgette email re specify in right side block

-- Issues: fields we could show but don't. what to do about them? Put on "shortly after migration" list. -

-- Poll result - on community page.

-- Store issues: Ubercart membership process - expiration date processing (Walt)

-- ebase fields to push to the Web site; synchronization plan (Walt)

-- CRM (Walt -acting)
Walt went to talk in NYC ... reinforced current opinions of products ... attendees mix of people needing standard HR. donor, membership - but also needing special stuff that doesn't fit in standard solution. Suggestions made on how to accomplish add-ons. List of contenders - missing products (Orange Leap, for example) - probably not going to survive. Need an offering with good customer base so it will be around.

NyNjcustom - stuff about products (tie to Ubercart) - can now do much of what Trellon did within Ubercart 2.
