Park Description:

Black River County Park, part of the Morris County Park System, consists of 510 acres.  It includes four important cultural sites - Cooper Mill, Elizabeth D. Kay Environmental Center, Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center, and Willowwood Arboretum - each of which is not only worth visiting in its own right, but also provides access to trails in the area.   A fuller description of each of these areas can be found on the park's web site under Contact Information below [look for the name of the cultural site, not "Black River County Park"]

Trails Overview:

Four marked trails traverse the park linking the various cultural sites [from 0.9 to 4.5 miles].   The Bamboo Brook Trail [blue, 4.5 miles] connects the Cooper Mill/Elizabeth D. Kay Environmental Center section of the park to the distant Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center/Willowwood Arboretum section.
