Support the maintenance of 2,150 miles of trails in the New York-New Jersey area. Your membership strengthens our 1,800-strong volunteer network, ensuring trails stay open and accessible.
Adirondack Mountain Club – North Jersey Ramapo Chapter
The Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) is a nonprofit dedicated to conserving wild lands and waters through conservation, advocacy, education, and responsible recreation. ADK North Jersey-Ramapo offers volunteer-led hikes to parks and preserves, including Harriman State Park and the Catskills. We provide three hikes each week, year-round, guided by experienced leaders. Members receive a quarterly newsletter with updates on outings and events, including our annual Mohonk Mountain House hike and holiday party. Non-members can join us for two hikes before deciding on membership. Contact the hike leader to register and review hike ratings.
Adventures for Women
Adventures For Women, founded by Betsy Thomason, is a unique non-profit outdoor club for women aged 18 and older of all abilities to share adventures, learn new skills, develop confidence, and gain new experiences. Alley Pond Environmental Center
APEC Hikers is a Hiking Club program for adults of Alley Pond Environmental Center. We offer weekly evening walks and monthly outings led by volunteers. APEC membership is required, plus small dues. Enjoy Alley Creek, the Tulip Trail, and all of Alley Pond Park.
Appalachian Mountain Club: New York – North Jersey Chapter
With over 12,000 members, the New York-North Jersey Chapter is the second largest of the Appalachian Mountain Club’s 12 regional chapters. We offer more than 20 outdoor events on most weekends, many for beginners. Join us for activities and help conserve and preserve our outdoor resources.
Catskill 3500 Club
The Catskill 3500 Club, formed in 1962, encourages climbing Catskill Mountain peaks over 3500 feet. We offer day hikes, winter climbing outings, trail maintenance, and litter patrol. Active in conservation, our annual dinner includes certificate presentations and social opportunities.
COMMSAR – Community Search & Rescue
CommSAR/Community Search and Rescue is a volunteer non-profit 501c(3) agency in the Northeast, focusing on search and rescue, trail maintenance, community seminars, and preventative education. We save lives through prevention, skill, and collaboration.
Finger Lakes Trail Conference
The Finger Lakes Trail Conference, Inc. (FLTC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of dues-paying members and governed by a Board of Managers duly elected by its membership under its written Bylaws. The mission of the FLTC is “… to build, protect, enhance, and promote a continuous footpath across New York State for the enjoyment and health of residents and visitors. Forever!” The FLTC was founded in 1962. It works in cooperation with its members and various organizations to develop and maintain a premier hiking trail system in New York.
Flat Rock Brook Nature Association
Flat Rock Brook offers a variety of opportunities to connect with and appreciate nature throughout the year—from hiking to public programming to volunteering. Visitors come to enjoy the quiet and beauty of our preserve or to learn about our habitats through our programs and interpretive nature center.
