What should I bring on a hike?
Pack a physical or digital map, wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes, and bring water, snacks, and a bag for trash. A first-aid kit and a knife or multi-tool are also essential. Use a boot brush to clean your gear before and after your hike to prevent the spread of invasive species. More hike preparation tips can be found on our Hiking Essentials page.
