Park Description:

James Baird State Park has much to offer. Besides a golf course and 7 miles of trails, there are two picnic pavilions which can accommodate up to 300 people each by reservation. There is also a sports complex where visitors can play basketball, softball, tennis and volleyball. Additionally, there is a playground, a nature center, and a restaurant. 
Trails Overview:

Trails are wide, well marked and fairly level. Several loops are possible. Trails are suitable for x-country skiing. Trail maps are available at the park office.
Directions:

There are exits for the park directly off the Taconic Parkway, north of the intersection with NY 55.
