Trail Maintenance with Boy Scout Troop 49 NJ

Registration is closed for this event
Ever wonder how the trails stay open and passable? Move lumber, assemble bridge, set abutment!

Trail Maintenance is clearing, cleaning, and blazing.  Trail maintainers use small hand tools to clip and cut brush out of the trail, remove debris from drainage structures, and paint or hang the markers used for route finding also known as blazes.

This trip will be conducted outside on the trail, so be sure you wear your sturdy hiking boots and bring work gloves if you have them!  Be sure to bring plenty of water and lunch/snacks for yourself.  The workshop will run rain or shine.
