CANCELED: Shelter Maintenance Work Trip

Join Melissa Cascini, our New York Program Coordinator, to assist the New York DEC with graffiti removal on the John Robb Lean-to near the summit of Hunter Mountain. We will hike 2.4 miles to the lean-to with supplies, spend the day painting the lean-to and removing graffiti from nearby rocks, then hike back down to the trailhead with supplies at the end of the day.
 

Know Before You Go

• Please come prepared with plenty of water, lunch and snacks, weather appropriate clothing, work gloves, glasses or sunglasses for eye protection, and any of your usual hiking essentials.
• Please read over our COVID-19 Protocols and be prepared to follow them on the trail. 

Required Forms

• For volunteers under age 18, please submit a Guardian Consent form to [email protected] prior to the volunteer day or bring the paper form the day of. A parent or guardian must be present for the volunteer day.
