Join the Taconic Trail Crew in learning about Stone Stair Construction in Hudson Highlands State Park!
Students will learn when and how to install stone steps so that they not only reduce erosion but encourage the most use from hikers. Basic rock moving skills using picks, bars and winches will be incorporated into the course with a basic overview of each skill set.
This is a hands-on, get your hands dirty, learn by doing course.
