Bear Mountain Stone Step Construction

 Let's build some stairs! Learn how to build the iconic 5 foot wide stone steps of Bear Mountain!  Students will learn when and how to install stone steps so that they not only reduce erosion but encourage the most use from hikers. Basic rock moving skills using picks, bars and winches will be incorporated into the course with a basic overview of each skill set.   This course is specifically for any crew member of a Trail Conference Trail Crew as well as those interested in joining the Megalithic Trail Crew and getting involved in the Bear Mountain Trails Project.  For more information on the Bear Mountain Trails Project, check outwww.nynjtc.org/bearmtntrails
