  • 1982 Purchase IBM PC - partial funded by IBM grant (used to do first computer registration at New Paltz ATC conference
    • Database ran on PC-FILE
    • Accounting still on paper books
  • ?? Converted Accounting to use early version of Quickbooks ( 1 or 2?)
  • 1997 First web presense (with Ed Clarke on his servers)
  • June 1997 Converted Accounting to use Cougar Mountain
  • Late 1998 First real Tech Committee to cope with accounting disaster
    • John Kolp, Dianne Muccigrosso, Auditor (Joe Whelan)
    • Decided to convert back to newer version of Quickbooks
  • Web Store opens (Dave Bertollo)
  • ca 2000 Tech Committee looks at upgrading database
    • Long list including eBase and Razer's Edge
    • Selected eBase (mostly on cost for equivalent function)
  • Peer to peer networking - first try at DSL (failed - too unreliable)
  • Feb. 2001 Move to Mahwah (March 5 Ed arrives)
    • Extensive wiring of building for phones and ethernet with John Grob
    • Network using IDSL (slow)
  • 5/17/2001 Tech Agenda
  • Extensive development work on eBase (Maureen, et al)
  • First server installed running Windows Server 2000 ( Help from David Day)
    • Running Filemaker Server
  • 2/25/2003 Web policy approved by Board
  • 2004 Planning for GIS startup
  • Fall 2006 Online Registration for Ramapo 2007 (John Magerlein)
  • Fall 2006 First use of Drupal on the web site for Ramapo 2007
  • 2006 Upgraded Windows Server to new machine running Windows Server 2003 ( Help from David Day)
