Minutes:

Old Business:

1. Agenda modifications

2. Subteam status reports

* Office status (Josh)

* Technology (Walt)

-- Backup plan
Working with TIS to set up. (eBase server outage diverted attention last week. Currently backing up site manually every couple of days.

-- Drupal 6
Walt away this week in Vt. - wifi doesn't allow him to do anything other than Web browsing.
Candidate for helping - person doing AMC No. Jersey site is likely person. D6.nynjtc.org needs to be set up.

-- Synchronize Web members with eBase member database
Walt and Catherine to export from eBase to Web. Estimate to have first pass done by the first week in August. Need to determine which fields to transfer (member #, expiration date, email). Also need to establish re-synch procedure.

Feedback -- monitored by Walt, Ann, Gary, Hedy and Jenny. Jenny still having trouble replying on Web. Submitters assume we know which page the request is originating from and messages are often lacking in context details. Walt will investigate if we can capture the URL along as part of the feedback item.

* Content (Georgette)

-- status of Calendar module -
Gerogette setting it up for use. Opening it for use by appropriate TC staff. Add in retail partner logos.
-- region, park and hike additions and updates
-- Phil back, working on NJ region and with Ken to organize region content. George Perkinson - LI region
-- Georgette working to keep home page active and current
-- NY Times article last Friday? Georgette will try to find it.

* Google Analytics (Doug)

With 301 redirects, traffic came down, but now leveling off. Bots were creating additional clicks from hits to old pages. Current information is better. Getting a lot of clicks into site from marketing side. Suspect more online transactions this year - perhaps Gary can get that info for us?

Biggest issue - how to try to get people to buy more ... give incentive? Staff is exploring things they might do. (Promo item, free shipping, etc. if you buy more.) Current shipping is on accrual basis now ... any change would involve Ubercart mods, but should be configurable.

Doug added more parks to AdWords. AT doesn't give us benefit. Bear Mt. Is our biggest traffic driver. Next are NY Trail and NJ Trail focus ads. Georgette suggests "community service outdoors". Send Doug your suggestions. Walt suggests "romantic spots. Event-based (4th of July), seasonal (hawk migrations) are other possibilities. Doug asked re conversion tracking - can it be dynamically placed in the shopping sequence so we can more confidently track effect of ad word? Walt to investigate.

Map promos on home page appear to be effective. Seem to be attracting new members too.

* Business model (Ann/Ed)

Re Trellon --Walt to locate his last email to Alonza so Ann can follow up.
