1. Subteam status reports - first and third Mondays

* Office status (Josh)

  • Current push is to get migration plan together and how it will improve internal ops. Josh's goal: by end of next week -- final implementation of postage changes (first class + bump to cover handling). Also need to update store policy and put it on the Web.
  • Audit recommendations do not affect the Web or db stuff, per Josh. eCommerce + checks and walk-in transactions. Only offline systems have to change. Focus on doing all transactions thru the Web in Feb. timeframe.
  • Josh to see if Ed's available to meet re Tech plan next Tues or Thurs.

* Google Analytics and Theming (Doug)

Still need shorter images for titles. Ed suggests we freshen up images on top pages (set up schedule to do seasonally?)
Georgette added top ten X-C and snowshoe hikes.

* Social Networking (Doug-acting)

Discussion of our Facebook presence: guidelines, leadership, action plan, issues
Tina Nixon interested in helping us starting in mid-Jan.
Should we have both a Facebook page and a group? Also, we need to unite support of the Facebook presence. Right now there seem to be several people who are working the page. Walt to follow up with Aaron.

Still updating Parks -- Georgette done; Ann and Phil still working on their sections.
Refresh headers on main pages; added top 10 for winter.

Historical notes: Discuss how it ranks in priority for staff support of vols compared to Top 10 Lists, additional hikes in the hikes database, expanding and editing the parks database, etc--(and recruit more help). Will be adding separate page for Doodletown. History content type -- needs more work. Especially how to categorize historical things.

Download hike plus map ... use "points system" for download purchases. Need to develop business plan. (For followup later this spring.)

-- Use "Unpublish" to delete a page? How to deactivate so it cannot be found. (Google will still find the url, however.) (Shouldn't make a page that uses lotsa Drupal resources.)

Bill: question re how things get done on Web site.
Bill: Grant member role for shopping cart -- ...not a normal menu item.

Would be helpful to have a review of how theme got put together. Trellon implementation ... in nynj-custom module and theme php code.

Overview of site and how to handle who does what -- discuss next week.
