D7 Conversion Meeting

Conference Call was held and in attendance were Walt, Bill, Mark & Melissa
Meeting was started with brief comments and questions from each person. Walt brought up a “Shipping daily report” that he was working on with Josh. He was having some issues with the Drupal Connect form and needed to talk to Josh about going from test to live. Walt will try to convert “Sign-Up” form to “Web” form.
Bill and Walt indicated they need to work on some patches. Post patches, Tri patches and content migration patches and should try to avoid making core patches as this could disrupt the system.
The meeting focused on what steps were next in the D6 to D7 conversion and the following were discussed:
1.) Set up D7 test site (1 to 2 weeks)
a. Add content
b. Get D6 clone working
c. Set up modules for live site
2.) Configure E-Commerce Package
3.) Test mobile theme
Bill mentioned how the D7 conversion makes a new table for every field and now we have many more fields. He suggests he might dump some Ubercart modules.
After the meeting, emails were exchanged suggesting ways to manage this process. There is a spreadsheet already started on Google that can be updated to include current issues with the D7 conversion. Until we find something better we will attempt to update that spreadsheet and prioritize the jobs listed on it. Mark will attempt to maintain this spreadsheet with help from Walt.
