Invasives Strike Force Crew Leader

Since retiring two years ago from a career in web technology in the banking and pharmaceutical industries, Rich has been able to spend more time hiking and doing volunteer work including trail maintenance on the Lenape Trail, Invasive Species Management with South Mountain Conservancy, and Invasive Species Surveys and Management for the Trail Conference and LHPRISM Invasives Strike Force.  Rich recently became licensed as a Pesticide Operator in New Jersey.

Learning to identify native wildflowers and managing invasives has been an avocation of Rich's for over 40 years. He got connected to the Trail Conference through work on the Morris Canal Greenway.  Rich co-founded the Morris Canal Greenway Committee in Bloomfield and has served on the Board since its inception.  He has two on-going native plant restoration projects on the Morris Canal Greenway.  Rich is currently a Bloomfield Councilman.
