Trail stewards available on Breakneck Ridge

Since Aug. 3-4, Kali Bird of Beacon will either staff a table along Route 9D at the foot of Breakneck Ridge Trail or hike along the trail, sharing information about how to hike safely while respecting this great natural resource in the Hudson Highlands. Bird is the first of two trail stewards courtesy of the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference who will assist hikers during high-traffic weekends at the popular trail.
