Utility firm proposes $750M gas pipeline project through Highlands watersheds

Tennessee Gas Pipeline seeks to dig a 16-mile underground extension through Vernon, West Milford and Ringwood. The report said environmentalists are worried the project would disturb forested land in ecologically sensitive areas of Highlands watersheds, including the Monksville Reservoir and Long Pond Ironworks in Ringwood.
